Sheffield Pharmaceuticals Donates $4,000 to Hospice Southeastern Connecticut

NORWICH, CT (November 16, 2009) – On November 4, the newly formed Contributions Committee of Sheffield Pharmaceuticals donated $4,000 to Hospice Southeastern Connecticut.  Carol L. Mahier, Executive Director of the organization, accepted the donation.

“On behalf of our patients and their families, we thank Sheffield Pharmaceuticals for their outstanding generosity,” said Mahier.  “Sheffield understands that end-of-life issues affect the patient’s family as well as the patient, and businesses need to be aware of the services we provide for the entire family, including those who continue to work while caring for their loved one.”

Hospice Southeastern Connecticut provides care in the home and often in skilled nursing facilities for those facing the end of their life, regardless of age, disease or inability to pay.  The organization also provides bereavement services for families in New London County free of charge, regardless of whether the death occurred under hospice care or not.
